A business makeover wasn’t on the cards.
However, on the 1st June 2019 GEM celebrated our 4th birthday. I have to say the last 4 years have been amazing. It started with me working on my own in a homemade office (in the cellar at home). We’re now a team of 3 working from a lovely office space in Bury. We’re busy and have some great clients, who like to keep us on our toes! The nature of what we do means that every day is different, and every day has challenges waiting for us. Personally I thrive on this – thrive on helping businesses through tough days and ensuring they come out the other side in one piece.
I’ve always loved colour and our original GEM logo was full of colour! Some may say a little garish, but I loved it.
We had a brand new shiny website built for us in 2018 by Paul Grogan, at the time he suggested we should look at a makeover for our logo and persona. At first I was (in all honesty) a tad upset that a ‘jumped up’ designer dare say that my logo was looking dated! Fast forward 12 month and our makeover is fairly complete …
From that to this in the blink of an eye. Well not quite! There was a lot of in between stuff before I fell in love with our new logo.
Paul’s company couldn’t be more aptly named. I say this because he made me ‘think’ about where I was going, what I wanted. He designed a logo that not only looked and felt more professional, it made me as a business owner feel all grown up and ready for the next chapter. That’s already happening! Our business growth in the last 12 months means that GEM will go VAT registered in December. Exciting and a tad daunting but over the moon at our business growth.
Anyone out there who thinks that they can go it alone and design their own image then I do admire you. However, I think it’s safe to say that the design stamp on our new GEM logo speaks volumes. A great designer knows his stuff.
